About Penny Jackson

Meet Penny
Penny Jackson is a Global Real Estate Advisor with Scenic Sotheby's International Realty, serving buyers and sellers across Sandestin, 30A, Destin, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, and the broader Emerald Coast.
Known for her deep local knowledge, calm guidance, and highly personal approach, Penny brings more than 13 years of real estate experience and more than two decades of lived experience inside Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Her work is shaped by a rare combination of resort operations, hospitality, luxury homebuilding, coastal lifestyle knowledge, and hands-on real estate strategy.
For clients buying or selling along the Emerald Coast, Penny offers more than market information. She offers perspective — she understands how each community lives, how buyers evaluate value, how sellers should position a property, and how details such as beach access, rental rules, HOA structures, amenities, architecture, condition, and lifestyle fit can shape the right decision.
A True Insider's Perspective
A Local Advisor Who Has Lived the Market From the Inside
Some real estate advisors study the market from the outside. Penny has lived it from the inside. For more than 20 years, Penny has called Sandestin home. She knows the resort the way only a resident can, from its neighborhoods and amenities to its ownership structures, lifestyle patterns, rental considerations, and subtle differences from one community to the next.
That insider perspective gives her clients a meaningful advantage. Sandestin, 30A, Destin, and Miramar Beach may all be part of the Emerald Coast, but each market behaves differently. A resort condominium in Sandestin is not the same as a beach house in WaterColor. A Destin Gulf-front condo is not the same as a Rosemary Beach cottage. Penny helps clients understand those distinctions clearly so they can move forward with confidence.

The Path Here
From Hospitality and Resort Operations to Real Estate
After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in hotel and restaurant management, Penny built the foundation of her career in hospitality. In the late 1990s, she and her husband traveled from Birmingham to Sandestin for work conferences. What began as a professional connection quickly became personal.
In 1999, she joined Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, where she worked across rental management, operations, development coordination, and ultimately group sales. Those roles gave her a detailed understanding of how resort communities function from the inside — what owners care about, what guests expect, how rental programs operate, and how small details shape the ownership experience.

Built, Lived, and Worked Along the Coast
Experience That Goes Beyond the Transaction
Over the years, Penny and her husband developed several spec homes throughout WaterColor and neighboring 30A communities. That experience gave her a deeper appreciation for construction, design, planning, finish selections, architecture, and the details that turn a house into a home.
She understands that value is not only measured in square footage. It is shaped by location, layout, materials, craftsmanship, access, outdoor living, furnishings, architectural identity, rental potential, and long-term usability. For clients considering homes on 30A, in Sandestin, or across Destin and Miramar Beach, that construction and design perspective is especially valuable.

Penny's clients often describe her as calm, responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in their success. She listens first. She asks the right questions. She explains the details clearly, and she treats every buyer's and seller's reasons for making a move with care.
Her experience in hospitality taught her the importance of service. Her years living inside Sandestin taught her the value of local perspective. Her homebuilding experience taught her to notice details.
